Do you remember the Home Talk Lamps Plus Design Challenge I mentioned in a previous post!
It’s here! It’s here!
Selected contestants were sent a lamp to decorate in a holiday theme. LOVED the idea! It was so exciting to be apart of this blogger challenge.
(Just fyi… I’m still playing with this gallery wall. Can’t seem to get it right!)
It seemed a little crazy buying a basket full of sparkly Christmas décor in August…but let’s be honest. I enjoyed every second of it. If only my hubs would have let me listen to Christmas music while decorating… ha! I went with a neutral color scheme because I wanted it to match our bedroom, but also wanted to do a Christmas Carol theme. The lamp base is filled with gold, brown, silver, and white jingle bells. It is SO easy to unscrew the base and switch out the items inside. I used pieces of burlap as fillers in the base because it is a lot bigger than it looks!.
The shade reads “Sleigh Bells Ring”. For the shade, I used a gold paint pen and just a dab of hot glue for the ribbon along the edge. I fell in love with this decorative ribbon from Hobby Lobby. Thank goodness it was 50% off (originally 40 bucks for one roll!) I kept it simple so that I can easily remove the ribbon and cover the shade with fabric for different holidays or seasons.
What do you think?
