Kitchen Table Redo- RECLAIM Sealer Giveaway

This post is sponsored by RECLAIM Beyond Paint, but all opinions shared are my own.

You’ve been waiting for another RECLAIM paint project, right?  My mom found this table for $2.  My momma is the garage sale queen for furniture.  She’s the one who found some of my favorite pieces!  TWO DOLLARS at a garage sale.  My husband told me to wait until he got home to bring in the table.  I was so excited to get started that I somehow got this table from the garage into the front door by myself.  It wasn’t pretty.  Also, notice the top of the table is not wood.  However, the table itself was solid and sturdy.  Plus, this table sits eight instead of six.

I scrubbed this table for over two hours.  Six pieces of disgusting gum were scraped off the table with a metal tool.  Three heavy duty magic erasers and two kitchen sponges were used.  Yuck!  But through it all I had a vision and the end result was worth it.

I would not have attempted this project with anything else except RECLAIM paint.  If you are new to RECLAIM, check out my post ALL ABOUT RECLAIM PAINT.  This is the table top after ONE coat of RECLAIM paint.  Amazing.

Just keepin it real- this photo shows what our other table looked like.  For one week until our garage sale, we had two kitchen tables in the same space.  It was nuts!

RECLAIM Beyond Paint is a 3-in-1 paint with a coverage like no other I’ve tried.  It has been 8 months since we painted our bathroom cabinets with RECLAIM paint and there is not a single chip or scratch!  If you are new to RECLAIM paint, there is no sanding or priming required.  It is low VOC with no odor.  It is safe to use if you are pregnant!  Read more from RECLAIM at their site here I’m telling y’all this is a total game CHANGER!  **I am STILL using the same quart I used for our bathroom cabinets.

Can you believe this is the same table?  This table had one coat of RECLAIM paint in Licorice on the top and two coats of Bright White on the table legs.  However, RECLAIM just launched a few new colors you should try!

I used a clean angled brush on this project and you cannot see the brush marks.

Because the table is such a high use surface, it was the perfect opportunity to try the new Reclaim Paint Multi-Purpose Sealer.  This was also applied with a clean angled brush.  I did try the fabric roller, but is a matter of personal preference.  Another thing I love about the new sealer is that is great for outdoor use as well.  You will love the added protection it gives your project!

Love, love, love this paint. I have my husband’s OLD bedroom set in our guest bedroom from his single days. Gonna try painting it with one of the lighter RECLAIM colors this summer. Just finished painting a desk and bookshelf in the licorice in my college daughter’s bedroom last week to go with the armoire I painted in licorice for that room last summer. Painting an old headboard with RECLAIM for that room next week.

Maybe I should try this paint instead of chalk paint on the old secretary that belonged to my husband’s grandmother. It’s seen a lot of wear and tear. Also,I tried twice to comment on your post about the Rogers’ shops, but it didn’t work. So I’ll tell you here how much I enjoyed it. I intend to check them out when I’m up that way for Arkansas Women Bloggers’ conference.

Thanks for trying, Dorothy! I’m not sure why it wouldn’t let you comment, but thanks for reading. I’m so excited AWB is in NWA this year! I also love chalk paint, but this is EVEN EASIER than chalk paint and has a more professional finish!
