Photo Coasters

Cheap, but thoughtful.   Photo coasters.

I made these for my mom to go with her birthday present last
week and she LOVED them.

You need:

*ceramic tiles (I found these that were already painted black for .44 at Lowe’s)

*Mod Podge (Hobby Lobby)

*a clear seal or enamel spray (Wal-Mart)

*an old paint brush

*scissors

What to do:

1.  Choose your photos.

2. Depending on the size, trim your photos to the size of the tile.

3. Brush a layer of Mod Podge on the tile.  Place the photo on the tile, then brush a smooth layer to the top of the photo.

4. Give it some time to dry, then spray the enamel over it.

5. Gift them!

Estimated time: 10 minutes

These would be a great addition to any Christmas present!  I saw some on Pinterest with scrapbook paper, but thought these added a personal touch.

Hi Katie! I saw your comment at Traci’s blog about this being your first linky party, so I thought I’d stop by to say hello.

I love your photo coasters! I’ve seen coasters made many different ways, but these are unique–what a great idea to personalize coasters with photos! I’m sure your mom was thrilled with these, and who wouldn’t be? Great idea!

LOVE your photo coasters, totally adorable and I may just copy this idea for some Christmas gifts for family!

I saw your comment (and link) on Beneath My Heart and giggled because it’s also my first linky party and I did the same thing and put my name instead of the project (ah DUH), oh well too late to fix it now.

Just thought I’d stop by and send some DIY encouragement your way!
