February Favorites

I missed the Friday Favorites opp due to Valentines so I’ll lump my favorites into one big RANDOM post today.

First off, props to my hubby for being a Valentines rockstar.  “Crafty” is not a word that I would use to describe Taylor, but I love that he appreciates that I am.  I woke up Friday morning to this.

and this.

and this.

That is supposed to mean “no glasses”.  All the googly eyes are because I’m getting Lasik eye surgery this week and I’m a little nervous about it.

It really makes me smile to picture my husband decked out in camo picking out glitter pipe cleaners in the craft aisle…and crafting it up while I was asleep. It really is the little things that make me the most happy.  That’s why when he hesitantly asked if we could stop by Cabela’s before our Valentine’s plans, I said of course.

On that note, before I go any further…

Favorite Blog Post- Jen Hatmaker “To Those for Whom V-Day Stinks”

I love Jen.  I may or not pretend we are best friends.  She’s hilarious.  But this post is raw and powerful.  She gives an ode to the single parents, searching singles, struggling marriages, and those that have lost their person.  Please go read her post.  You won’t regret it.

Favorite Band- All Sons and Daughters

Favorite Blogging Moment

Amanda’s blog (Kevin and Amanda) was my first blog to EVER follow. Ever.  So I did a little happy dance when she “favorited” my instagram picture.

Like I said… it’s the little things guys.  Oh, and that recipe?  Really delicious.  Find it here.

Favorite Book This Month- What Alice Forgot

It’s going to be a movie later this year.  This book was so unlike any other plot I’ve read.  It’s a really fast read!  I read it in two days over our snow days.  It’s our book club book for April, so you’ll probably hear more about it then but I couldn’t wait to read it.

Favorite Outfit- via Sequins and Things

gap green fit

Favorite Purchase- Gap Fit- Breathe Tee and Breathe Tank

Both of these are SO soft and versatile.  I bought the tee in white and pink and the tank in black.  I’ve worn it to barre class and group training, but also to work with a scarf and cardigan.  Gap has a 20% off code right now and the striped Fit tanks are super cute too!  (affiliate link)

Um, I love Jen too. I saw/heard her speak at WOF in KC last September, and she was fantastic. So anointed, and hilarious!
