Hey guys. I’m attempting to come back to the blogging world in 2015. It’s been five months since I’ve blogged, and I’ve missed you guys in my little corner of the internet! Thank you for your sweet emails and comments during that time. It’s really as simple as this: When school started back up, I struggled with being truly present when I’m at home and that is so important to me.
I am so blessed. My business exploded in 2014. However, it requires investing time on the computer. I also received a 21st Century grant for my classroom. However, I’ve been a learner right along with my students and that takes time on the computer researching, gathering ideas, and planning.
Something had to go so that I could be truly present when I’m home. Since my business and teaching are income producing, I made the decision to put my blog on the back burner to gain some balance and perspective in hopes that later in life we’ll have more time freedom. (Also in the meantime, I attempted to install a new WordPress theme myself and redesign my blog. Apparently it’s a lot harder than it looks. I know there’s some glitches. Working on it, friends.) There won’t be a post every week, but I’m coming back slowly. I’ve reflected over what blogging means to me. There will be no year recap this year of stats, books read, best projects, etc. etc. But my desk is covered with post-its from the past 5 months, from when I didn’t have time to type a blog post or edit photos, but just a moment to jot down inspiration.
In 2015, you can look forward to: a craft room redo update, basement RENO (in progress), another cabinets tutorial… with our life sprinkled in here and there. Anything else you want to see on the bloggity blog this year? Hope you and yours entered 2015 happy and healthy!
