A New Year

I cannot believe I left the blogging world for nearly 9 months!  During this time, I have bought a house, moved, gotten married, honeymooned, switched jobs, and began a flea market booth!  So much has happened  and changed so drastically that as we embark into a new year, I am finally getting my bearings enough to figure out WHAT to post first.  We finally have our feet on the ground enough to… get our thoughts straight.  Everyone has been asking for house pictures, and those will come soon!  I really, truly promise.  But first, here are some of my favorite 2012 projects in Instagram review!

You can see things have been busy in our household, just on the painting front!   This year I pledge to do much better at documenting the happenings around our sweet home!

I will leave you with the note on the back of our Christmas card because we only mailed out a few! (Consider it a Happy New Year Update from the Surlys!)

Thank you for being a special part of our lives this year.  It has been a year of big changes- getting married, buying our first home, and beginning new teaching jobs.  The spring was filled with wedding planning and then Taylor graduated from the University of Arkansas in May.  The summer was filled with house projects, and our fall was filled with cross country practices and meets.  We have loved every moment of our first year of marriage, but we are counting our blessings that Taylor’s coaching season is over so we can invest more time in each other and our friends and family.

Our newlywed life has been filled with love and laughter, but also camoflauge, Duck Dynasty, and a lot of deer meat!  Taylor is taking full advantage of living in Bella Vista- he has been known to hunt, fish, and golf all in the same day.  Along with trying to support Taylor in all his outdoor ventures, I’m working on my flea market booth and continue to work Arbonne as a home-based business.  We are looking forward to what 2013 will bring.  Thank you for your love and support.  We love you and wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas!
